To be really sad about this?

Walking down my street just now- saw a poor cat that had been hit by a car, lying in the gutter. I checked it and it was wearing a flea collar but no ID tag- I was going to call the owners.??
I felt awful walking away and leaving it there, but didn't know what else to do.
I've a lump in my throat now for the poor thing and for its owners.

Also realised our cat doesn't have an ID tag either and it's the first thing on my list to do today ??

YANU - could you have taken it to a vet? It may be micro chipped.

my2centsis · 17/05/2012 09:08

Was it still alive?!

Yoghurty · 17/05/2012 09:10

Maybe. I don't drive and the nearest vet is a while away- not sure about taking it on a bus?
I was on my way to an appt- if it's still there when I go back I'll get my cat's carry case and see if my neighbour is able to drive me there Sad

No, it wasn't still alive. I certainly wouldn't have left it if it was. No, she (?) was stiff Sad

That's very kind of you if you can. I'd appreciate that if it were one of mine Smile

That's what I was thinking- if it was one of mine I'd appreciate someone's kindness. My appt is now so I'll go back and find her as soon as its done.
