Admittedly I am a bit of a fb addict ducks to avoid rotten egg throwing but I'd love to be able to "like" comments on this page as well. I sometimes don't get to read through the threads until several pages into them and would like to let posters know that I agree with what they have said or disagree for that matter

YANBU, I've often thought the same thing myself! Sometimes I haven't got time to type a post and someone else has summed up my thoughts really well! In fact, if I could 'like' posts I would like your post Grin

squashedbanana · 16/05/2012 17:06

Oh god! So many times I read a comment and instinctively go to click the 'like' button when I agree with something said or someone has said something witty and funny etc

I want to 'like' this thread!

Ithinkitsjustme · 16/05/2012 17:12

Hurray, I am not alone!!

Maybe "agree" or "disagree" buttons would be better than "like".

WorraLiberty · 16/05/2012 17:23

I think we really need a like button on MN for exactly the reasons you describe in your OP.

I've seen quite a few people saying they don't want one, but I've never seen them put a decent reason forward.

I also think more people are 'for' a like button than 'against' lately.

Tulipsforever · 16/05/2012 19:55

Good idea. LIKE!!

EclecticShock · 16/05/2012 19:57

I think agree and disagree buttons would be good.

IneedAbetterNicknameIn2012 · 16/05/2012 20:12

LIKE!!!!!!

I thought it was asking for a 'like' button that led to the 'recommend' button (and no I don't want to recommend things on here, I don't want my RL friends knowing I am on here in case I 'out' myself)

And surely the people that don't want a like button could just not use it?!

Viva La Mumsnet revolution! Grin

I too have gone to press like because I do't have anything to add but agree with OP or a poster's response. It's a bit like voting for best answer in yahoo's question thingamy.
