To think it might be easy to get tickets for the Proms

I am in the queue (!) on line to book and there are over 500 people who have the same idea - the day before the booking actually starts.

(You can preplan what you want to see before the booking opens)

If you don't mind sitting on the floor/standing then go on the day and get £5 tickets.

The atmosphere is much better. You will need to be there an hour in advance to queue, more if it's something really popular.

Downstairs has the best views but you will have to stand up 'moshpit' style if it's busy. Upstairs is great for snoozing and/or picnics.
