Is this enough for her lunch?

Run out of bread for my youngest's packed lunch. Oops! I packed her chopped up sausage, a babybel cheese, cucumber sticks, three cherry tomatoes, a petite filous, an orange and a bag of chocolate animals. Oh and a bottle of water. Is that enough do you think? I have always normally included a sandwich (one slice of bread) but don't usually put the sausage in! She's 6 and quite small build. She had a brioche, some grapes and some cereal for breakfast.

Been worrying about it all morning.

It's fine. Stop worrying! Smile

CallMeAl · 10/05/2012 10:02

nobody can answer what is the right amount of food for your child, they don't know them.
It wouldn't be enough for mine but that has little to do with yours.

ps this is aibu

ShutUpMeg · 10/05/2012 10:04

Depends if she's seen the ocean or not? My DS would be fine on that but he'd leave all the healthy stuff and just eat the sausage and chocolate animals!

dollywashers · 10/05/2012 10:04

Thanks fauxfox.

Yes callmeal I realise this is aibu. I posted it here to see if i was bu about the amount of food I had given her.

My Dd would be okay with that. Though I can't really answer as I have never met your Dd.
Plus sometimes its nice to have something diffrent so your Dd might enjoy the lack of sandwich for change.
Relax I'm sure its all good for her

Shutupanddrive · 10/05/2012 13:45

shutupmeg is your dog called meg? Ours is and must hear your NN several times a day! Blush Grin

squoosh · 10/05/2012 13:48

She'll be fine. Nothing wrong with being hungry once in a while.

mum23girlys · 10/05/2012 13:48

My twin dds are 6 and that would be more than enough for 1 of them but the other one would be starving and probably stealing out her sister's lunchbox Grin.

You know your dd best though and if you felt it was enough as you packed it up then I'm sure it is

jubilee10 · 10/05/2012 13:52

That would be plenty for ds3 (5) and he's a good eater. Don't worry she'll be fine.

BlackAffronted · 10/05/2012 13:59

That would be fine fo rmy 4 yr old DS, who is a big eater.
