To think everyone needs to make rhubarb and ginger jam

For the sheer pleasure of being able to lick the spoon between testing, and then be able to finish off the last bit of jam in the bottom of the pan.

Its just soooooo nice, and easy, and cheap!

Yum. Do you have a recipe? Does is use real ginger eyes half a kilo of ginger in freezer due to online shopping

Is it really easy? I thought jam making involved copper pans and jam thermometers?

I just posted it in the recipes section, but sorry, you need crystalline ginger. Saying that i think some of the recipes use fresh.

i thouht that too, its SOOOO easy, no thermometer and huge copper pan needed. Ive made it twice now and believe me, if i can do it............

I actually made some last year but it's still in the cupboard, I never got round to trying it. I suppose I ought to now!
To people who don't like rhubarb, try making welsh rhubarb cake and you might change your mind.

You dont have to add ginger if you don't like it, but if you don't like rhubarb you're a bit buggered with this recipe

I might have to look that cake up, the rhubarb in my garden is of triffid proportions

I should probably add at this point that I've never tried shitting in my hands and clapping
