This is my first post - I've lurked for a while and answered a couple of threads. But today I received quite a horrible text from someone who is well known for being quite rude. Thanks to the wisdom gained from reading mumsnet I politely asserted myself with the result I had an apology from her a couple of minutes later.

So thank you mumsnet!!

Hurrah! Well done you and hats off to Mumsnet for assertiveness training!

Shutupanddrive · 02/05/2012 19:43

Yay, well done you! What did you say? Smile

Without going into details I let her know in no uncertain terms what had actually happened and then told her that she had upset me. To which she apologised. Its all good now - she is going through a difficult time and I do understand but there was no need for what she said.

Hopefully being pulled up on it might make her think twice next time (I can but hope!)

That's great but you might want to namechange now as it is quite an identifying post and you might want to be more private in future - if she is a mumsnetter.

SauvignonBlanche · 02/05/2012 19:54

Well done! Smile

I'm pretty certain she's not a mumsnetter and I'm not that bothered if she is and sees this.

If I post anything juicy I might namechange!!!
