AIBU telling mr bumdrop off

...for agreeing to put our front key out in a pre arranged hidden place, for a bathroom fitter sent by our insurance company, to let himself in, do some work, and go again, whilst we are all out at work.
I think this is a stupidly risky thing to do, he thinks it 's fine ......

I wouldn't do it. The only tradesman who I've given a key to was a family friend anyway, so trusted him. I've had roofers who stole plants from our greenhouse Angry so am a bit paranoid about strangers letting themselves in.
