the rich are getting richer www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17883101 but our government gave them a freaking tax break in the budget?

YABU. The biggest tax break came in the form of the increased personal allowance which meant thousands now don't have to pay any tax at all. Reducing the 50% tax band to 45% is only honouring the Labour Party's promise that the 50% tax band was temporary.

Absolutely not!
Even worse, I did some research a few weeks ago and came across a few official fiscal studies showing that the 10% of people with the highest income earn roughly 12 times what the poorest 10% earn, but pay only 10 times the amount of tax. I'm annoyed now because I can't find the links to the figures - my internet history only goes back 3 weeks and the only evidence I can find is this newspaper story: www.guardian.co.uk/society/2011/dec/05/income-inequality-growing-faster-uk

I dont care what govt came up with this plan. I cant not understand why funding to disabled people and children etcetc etchas to be cut because we are inrecession but the richest people get richer even in this recession AND we give then a tax break so they have even more?!
