before she actually speaks? She has always been like this but the other day, she actually speculated Out Loud in a telephone convo with me about whether my fwit of a husband started behaving like a duckwit of a husband when I put Hweight on...then decided he was actually like that wen I was slimmer too. So that would be ok for him then mum would it, it would be a good excuse obs! His extensive repetoire of EA and DV have the subject of a few threads in Relationships, and we are currently getting divorced. She has just turned 70 and is too old for the Tact Transplant register apparently.

YANBU. However, I love the idea of a tact transplant. There's lots of people I would sign up.

Yes, it's slightly different from the Personality Bypass operation that some people have had. At least that leaves that in a neutral position IME, rather than being offensive, without even trying!

My 94 year old nana had a tact bypass operation a few years ago. From being a model of sweetness, she now just says whatever is in her head including ( to me) " it's such a shame you're not so pretty now, you look just like your sister" - two with one hit - superb Shock.

70 is a bit young though for that sort of thing!

She's always been like this tho Cara...not a new thing. I have only just learnt to be not quite so blunt, by being with, well, nice people with social skills!

Unfortunately my dm was never a model of sweetness...
