Ill try and cut to the chase with this as I do have a tendency to go on.

Basically (did I mention this before? I am proud of the fact!) I have 3 month old twin boys. My cousin is a very generous person and bought them some lovely gifts when they were born but she has not seen them yet. She has phoned 2 or 3 times and the conversation has gone along the lines of 'Ill be up at about 6pm on Monday' but Monday comes and she never shows. After this happened twice my nan asked me 'if Id shown them round the family yet' This is going off topic slightly but I didnt think I should have been dragging my then 6 week old babies x2 round the houses of people with cars and a nearby petrol station :) If they wanted to see them surely they should come to me? Anyway last week said cuz left a message on my answerphone asking me to call her with a convenient time she could come. I knew that she would be off work for the next two days but had plans and didnt want to cancel them in case she didnt show again so i left a message back saying I would be available the following week any time. Meanwhile...whilst the twins were at my mums another auntie visited and saw them and now my cuz and her mother is telling everyone that shes really'miffed' that this auntie saw them first especially after she bought them some nice presents! And she hasnt rung me back. and I sort of dont want her to in case its awkward. Imo, if she wants to see them surely she should just make a bit more effort? I passed on a thankyou card and said thankyou on the phone and have kept up my end but cant help feel shes cross at me.

The above sounds so pathetic but I dont want to fall out with my family, especially not now :( God I hope she doesnt read this itll stoke the flames but I really needed to vent.

New babies always time consuming and the body recovery (we forget quickly don't we) I also have twins and the amount of people who think it is simple to get them anywhere.

I have muscles just from the amount of kit I had to lug round when they were babies and the organisation, eek!

Family, can't live with them can't poison them with apples. Grin
