I think mine goes into the cupboard under the stairs, and then when I'm asleep at night, it sneaks out and reattaches itself to me - teeny bits at a time - til I'm right back where I started and don't know why. Tis the only possible explanation Grin

Lexie1970 · 25/04/2012 15:44

It runs off to hide and then comes back when you are not looking Grin

KeepOrfThemCarbs · 25/04/2012 15:44

I don't know. Hopefully it all goes to Sarah Quigley who was a BITCH at school.

Where do all the farts go?

PowderPuffAndCurlyWhiskers · 25/04/2012 15:46

The fat cells are converted into usable forms of energy, so as they are converted, they get smaller, and our jeans zip up withouts us having to lie down Wink

I think about this quite a lot as recently lost over a third of my body weight. Sometimes I feel a bit sad that there is a big part of me floating around somewhere. I know it's weird.

squoosh · 25/04/2012 17:42

Well apparently if you eat a lot of dairy the fat will stick itself onto your poo. So if you're feeling nostalgic for your old self slap on Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On' and peer wistfully down the toilet bowl.

'Near far, wherever you are................'

Fluffy1234 · 25/04/2012 17:45

Suddenly I don't feel so sad!

TrollopDollop · 25/04/2012 17:47

Wow fluffy. How did you do that? I am trying to lose weight (need inspiration)

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 25/04/2012 17:47

I... never thought about it.... I've lost almost 10st in total, that's a whole person.... maybe that's where people come from? Circle of life etc, eating lions or something.....

TrollopDollop · 25/04/2012 17:50

Scarf - That is amazing. Well done.Any tips?I only have about 2 stone to lose but am not good at it.

DorothyGherkins · 25/04/2012 17:52

Oh dear, will never be able to hear 'My Heart will Go On' in quite the same light again now. Will probably have to sing it whenever I flush a poo away to send it on its way!

Fluffy1234 · 25/04/2012 17:53

Well done Scarf- that is amazing.

eurochick · 25/04/2012 17:56

When my mum loses weight it seems to find its way to my dad and vice versa. It is quite sweet, but they can never be entirely happy for the other person when they start to lose a few pounds!

squoosh · 25/04/2012 17:57

Scarf wowzers, well done you, bet you feel so proud of yourself!

DublinMammy · 25/04/2012 18:07

Fluffy and Scarf's weight has clearly drifted over the Irish Sea and landed on me. Bugger. Well done though!

kirsty75005 · 25/04/2012 18:11

If my memories of A-level biology are right, the by-products when you break down food for energy are CO2 (which you breathe out) and water (which you either pee or sweat).

(overly literal)

lashingsofbingeinghere · 25/04/2012 18:13

Greenhouse gases! I knew it.

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 25/04/2012 22:17

Um... well ok, I can't take all the credit for the loss really. Which is odd but... when I was 19 I went to hospital to sort out my non-existant periods and they said 'oh you're overweight, thats why' and I said oh ok and continued my life. I was 21st then (am 5'2) I only know that because they weighed me!

2009 I weighed again and was 16st 10lb, but the time between I kind of... I don't know, I went up and down, lost and gained but didn't record it. Only started consiously losing the weight in 2009- lost 3st on RC, gained again when I moved abroad!

Am now on final leg, I hope, of loss. Don't care where the damn fat goes, just don't want it back! Started dieting again in Nov 2011, been on a VLCD since Jan and have lost 3st since Nov. Only 2 or 3 to go.... I think I need to sweat breath and erm poo more to get rid!

Chilenachica · 26/04/2012 02:23

I don't give a monkey's were it goes, as long as it's not hanging onto my hips
