Dd has been sleeping peacefully since 9pm dh walks in from work at 10pm and starts researching on the iPad as to what the problem could be with our noisy fridge and then walks into the kitchen and starts poking around in the fridge freezer making a racket with the kitchen door wide open and then pokes his head in and says sorry......well derrrrrrrrrr dd has gone into meltdown and taken 30 mins to settle

How old is your DD? If she's more than a newborn then maybe he should have absorbed the fact that she's the sort of person who will wake at a fart, and tried to be quiet....but there is a school of thought to the effect that DC need to learn to sleep through reasonable household noise or they will grow up to be tiresome precious little PITAS who have to have perfect silence or else.

She's eleven months...It wouldn't have been so annoying if he'd shut the flaming door! Angry know what you mean about normal noises in the house...you can flush the loo and all the usual stuff, but tinkering with a noisy fridge freezer at 11ish is just not normal noise!!!
