How do you keep white socks white my dd has them on once and after washing they never look bright white again. Always wash my whites separately getting sick of buying new socks.

don't wear them.

Try Ace Bleach-you just put a capful in the drum. Works on grubby footy kits. Grin

Your washing machine has eaten a pair of dark knickers or odd sock has it? Only this happened to my whites once, many months later the engineer found a dark blue sock and some bangles in the pump!

Put a couple of colour catchers in with your next white wash and see what colour they turn out? Or is it ingrained dirt?

Debeez · 23/04/2012 21:25

If my wash is all white no logos or anything I whack bleach in. Plus the smell of bleach is like a summers scent to me on par with freshly mowed grass.

Ooh, not boring at all; I love a good washing thread! I put a scoop of Vanish Oxy powder with my whites and wash at 60. Comes out luvverly. But Random might be on to something, definitely check that out.

Jumpingovaries1 · 23/04/2012 21:30

Random I'm going to get hubby to check that out failing that may use Pringles suggestion! Thanks everyone.

I thought you were looking for something boring to have a gander at.

Dullest least inspirational photographs I've ever seen. The house is pretty grim though.
