I'm not fussed about the promptness of friend's replies via text messaging but is it too much to expect a reply before the time has passed?

It might just be 'fancy popping in for a cup of tea on Thursday?' but am I right to consider it a bit rude to get no response? Only then to get a text a week later or so asking me for a recipe or where I bought such and such from?

Do I conclude that these people are not friends?

If someone invited me to theirs, I'd always reply. I know people are busy (god, I am myself) but not replying is slack, isn't it?

Maybe it's because I made a sin of saying 'their' instead of 'they're'.
