Just had my son given(by his school)rotten apples (stage 6 orange). He is four....I have concerns about drunk references in this book...is it just me??

Oh I was going to suggest he made them into cider.

i'd be more concerned about drunk teachers if they're giving him books at ten to midnight on a sunday.

It's fine - just explain clearly the process of fermentation, namely the converion of the carbohydrates in the apples into ethonal and the potentially devastating effects of that on the human body and how this can be turned into a fantastic marketing excersice for an eccentric entrepreneur.

Please make sure you encourage him to spell accurately from a young age so he can reap the rewards of never being singgered at.
