To find false eyelashes a bit freaky and cheap looking?

they are just everywhere now. I thought it was only the very young that wore them and for special occasions. But they seem to be everywhere now and for everyday wear like the girl working the morning shift in the co-op. Does anyone say over 25yrs old wear them and is it only me that thinks they look a bit freaky and cheap in a glamour, fake tan kind of way?

I have a colleague in her 30s who wears them. She is a good looking woman, but I havent the heart to tell her that her false eyelashes look ridiculous. Really. Just insane.

Oh, also, with extensions I hated that you couldn't just give your eye a good rub or wear a sleep mask or do hot cloth cleansing. They were kind of high maintenance in that regard.

Also to say, when I went for the patch tests, the lovely lady who was doing it had had it done the day before at some training thing, it was her 2nd treatment, the first time she had the most sticky-uppy one but this time the medium. Her lashes are apparently much shorter and thinner and stubbier than mine but she looked pretty great but natural and didn't even have any mascara on! So I have high hopes.

People always comment on my DS's eyelashes, they are amazingly long and thick.

I had my face done at MAC last week and the transformation was astonishing, and included professionally applied lashes. They were v natural ones and I looked so good I wanted to snog myself. Grin I am 41.

Some of the MAC strip lashes are very, very good. I love 33 lash. They give you that just out the shower clustery look but not a crusty spider in sight.

Like normal people, Bumblequeen. Not orange and plastic.

If you trim them right and apply them properly, they look stunning. They transform me when I go out when I wear them and I get tons of compliments and attention.

Geordieminx · 22/04/2012 21:42

Tatty are they on a clear strip or individual "clusters"?

TattyDevine · 23/04/2012 21:16

Clear strip. Really natural but really open up the eye due to the fact that the long ones are in the middle. They are not "heavy" though and they are not all black and shiny like so many of them are.

I have individual lashes. They look very natural and make a huge difference to the way i look. I don't like the strip lashes though and i really hate the TOWIE look
