AIBU to go back with the same offer?

I put in an offer for a property and heard nothing for several days. I kept on looking and found another possible house ( a fair bit more expensive though). At the same time I contacted the orginal agent to find out what was going on, and pursued the new property a bit more. By the time I eventually heard back from the agent and they said that they would accept my offer, I had given up. I am still not sure about the other house though. I don't know if IWBU to go back and make the offer again. I had no intention of not going through with the original offer but it was 10 days before they got back to me and as I said I started looking elsewhere.

Housebuying is too important to stick to some kind of moral code. I would just ask if you can go and view it again to refresh your memory and take it form there.

so you offered on house A, while they faffed about you found house B so told the estate agent you didn't want house A afterall, however on reflection you prefer house A. (have I got that right?)

Well then, there's no skin off your nose to go back to the estate agent, say you are still looking around elsewhere, but would like to put your offer on house A back on the table. If they accept it, you can say it's conditional of a quick turn around on the amount and getting that house off the market. They will probably get back to you quite quickly as they've already accepted that amount, however you have to be prepared that in the meantime they might have had other offers at a higher value.
