Ok.....

OH has gone away with all five teenagers for the weekend camping, so that I can complete some university work for a qualification I am working towards. Kids not really keen faces like slapped arses but OH embracing the idea of outdoor bonding, and hoping I will make good progress and join him tomorrow night not a fucking chance

Just did a massive motivated homeward bounding essay rest, and have finished.

Just been to tesco and bought myself some goodies, have just had my dinner:

Ice cold bottle of cava

Bastardisation of a Jamie Oliver recipe I vaguely remember - tiger prawns with chili, garlic and ginger, cooked in lemon juice and olive oil so it seeps through the ciabatta bread I have just lightly toasted, with fresh rocket tossed in at the last minute.....

Baileys Hagen daas ice cream with a liberal helping of double cream poured over........

All eaten in bed whilst in pjs, watching Enders and corrie...... The decadence!!!

Once my cava has been finished, I intend to make myself a liqueur floater coffee with whatever I can find and the last of the double cream, I may also have my Easter double decker in the place of a petit fours. I also intend to purchase an outrageously chick like flick off sky Grin.

AIBU to tell OH I haven't made very good progress and need all weekend to do my uni work? In fairness I will need to do a read thru/spell check once my hangover is gone after a break from the work......

God I'm jealous, what I wouldn't give for an evening like that.

YANBU - you've done 18 years for each one. Go for it.

ShellyBoobs · 20/04/2012 21:12

YA sooo NBU!

I'd love to embark upon a similarly debauched evening having only arrived home from yet another 2 long days of meetings abroad, about an hour ago.

I, however need to go and collect DD from her friend's house at 10pm with OH having sloped off to his friend's place for the evening, no doubt to return in the early hours somewhat the worse for wear.

I'm not jealous at all... Envy

Rhinosaurus · 20/04/2012 21:13

Hmmm Cointreau or whiskey for my coffee?

And I'm gonna let the dog sit on the bed, something OH never allows!!!

Twilight box set or Jane eyre on sky box office?

DH has phone, apparently they are all driving him mad at the campsite "can I have a cider, can I have a cider, can I have a cider, can I have some money for arcade, all,of em texting like crazy but whoops nowhere to charge the phones tomorrow lol when oh is threatening to take them to a pencil museum...... Lol lol lol

In fairness only three of them ate Kevins, so is not too bad. Plus he always has a long weekend away with his mates every weekend!

And now I have been invited to lunch tomorrow in town....oooooh lunchtime drinking, so much naughtier than nighttime, looks like the essay will need major work doing still, could possibly take all of Sunday too.....
