I bought a dog bed at the beginning of March off ebay. Less than a month later it has a large hole in already, I can fit my hand in it! I have sent photos to the company and they have replied with "sow it back together".

AIBU in thinking that I recieved a faulty product so it's not my responsibilty to fix it by sewing it back together? They say it's a rare manufacturing fault that very occasionally happens.

I would be pissed off and would want my money back...a good threat of trading standards ought to do the trick

It is not fit for purpose, you should return it and get a refund.

Thanks, I didn't think I was being U. The company are in Germany just to make things a tadge more awkward. I have emailed them saying that as I recieved a faulty product it's their responsibilty to sort it.

I glanced at the post and didnt see 'bed' at first made for some interesting reading lol. Anyway as an ebay addict can you report them to ebay if still within the time limits? Ebay/paypal (if this is how you paid) can take the money into a holding account I THINK whilst in dispute. O actually Ive just seen that you were asking how to open a dispute if you go to the top of the Ebay bar you click on customer suppport and then resolution centre you can open a case.
