I just sent MadameChinLegs amazon link to a mum from school who's a bit snooty by accident Blush was ment to send it to DH whoopsie. Tomorrow morning will be interesting....

This is common for me, I'm terrible for doing this and also accidently calling people from my mobile. I've had to go through all the people whos name begins with 'A' (first in mobile phone contacts) and put 141 in front of their number, so when I do it, they won't know it's me.
Do other people do this?

I always send texts to the wrong people!

At least once a day someone receives a text not for them. Today I was telling a friend about having a smear and instead sent it to a male friend! It was quite detailed too Blush

I wrote a text ranting about OH-during a marital rough patch-, only just avoided sending it to the OH. Could have been interesting, to say the least

I have a friend who accidentally sent a text saying that she was thinking of dumping her boyfriend TO her boyfriend instead of the friend she meant it to go to. Not too bright! Oddly enough, he got in first...

alarkaspree · 19/04/2012 02:43

Does 141 work with texts?

When you go up to her tomorrow and say 'I never sent you no text message about bollocks yesterday', won't she know it was you?

Maybe she isn't as snooty as you think. Maybe this is the icebreaker you needed to become bestest buddies.

I managed to send my ex a message ranting about another ex... which was meant to go to my best friend with a very similar name Blush

Wait til she raises the subject, look at her blankly, then blame one of the DC. Works every time

I slated my mil in a text & sent it to her. Best thing I ever did as I ha w nothing to do with her now & the twisted junkie knows exactly what I think of her Grin

Sorry for dodgy spelling, I am bf & typing left handed in the dark Blush

What I always do is write a text and think "I really must make sure that I don't send this to DH/Dsis/Dmum" and then send it to them.

Last week I sent my DH a text saying "is it wrong that I fantasise about Eric biting me?"
I am watching True Blood and the message was to my sister who had lent me the box set Blush
My DH has never seen True Blood so had no idea I was talking about Vampires...

ifeelloved · 19/04/2012 07:27

Mmmm Eric Grin

whoknewthat · 19/04/2012 07:28

There was someone on our internal mailing list with the same name as DH.

I often sent him emails instructing him to go to Sainsburys on the way home Grin

leftwingharpie · 19/04/2012 07:36

Whoknewthat I've done similar but it was an external mailing list and it was some poor guy who worked at Price Waterhouse Cooper! Luckily I've left that job, so I've stopped emailing him pick up milk etc!

she saw the funny side of it thank god.

Glad its not just me, i do stuff like this all the time!!!

I met this guy called andrew about 10 years ago, we went on one date and i realised he was an absolute oddball, he then stalked me for a few days with constant calls and texts.

My friend was heavily preg at the time and i was her birthing partner. At about 3am one morning my phone rang but before i got to it it rang off - with held number. i sent my friend a text saying "was that you who called?" then andrew text me saying "are you awake?" So i wrote another text to my friend saying "sorry if i woke you, it was that freak andrew, fucking ringing me at 3am" then accidently sent the text to andrew >.<

Didn't hear from him again after that Blush
