Our neighbours are putting in a pool. The dust, the noise, the dirt on my car, the (five) diggers driving up and down my (quiet, previously child-friendly) street all day. I like them (the neighbours) but I'm finding it really, really, really hard to remain reasonable. HELP!

Indoor or out door pool, and will the let you swim in it?

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 17/04/2012 22:10

Just think of summer holidays and being able to cool down in their pool - if they let you use it.

scarletforya · 17/04/2012 22:11

Sounds annoying....have they told you how long it will take?

Nanny0gg · 17/04/2012 22:13

Have you told them about the Hosepipe Ban?

You will have a swimming pool next door. They will owe you, big time. They'll owe you for at least a decade, I reckon. So your problem is what, exactly :o?

MessyTerrier · 17/04/2012 22:25

It's been two weeks, they're half-way through. It's an outdoor pool and I'm sure we'll be invited over but Oh My Goodness it's a mess-and-a-half while in progress. The entire street is being disrupted, traffic must halt while diggers complete each complicated maneuver (did I mention the landscaping, front and back that is simultaneously taking place). Aaaagh!

Have they got pampas grass out the front?

MessyTerrier · 17/04/2012 22:38

Wink. Nooooooooo. No pampas grass. Mercifully.

unless they get the dreaded pampas grass then UABU
Its bloody annoying but you're just gonna have to such it up and look onward to all the BBQs round the pool :-)
