Of course I do mean in an ideal world, I appreciate they have probably been hit by cuts and are short staffed but seriously, I would have been seen quicker out I had just made a doctors appointment.

I was there before the doors opened. There were three women before me. I waited for an hour and a half for my turn and was finished in 5 minutes.

I have no problem with other people's appointments needing to take longer but wouldn't a queue just for those with simple, straight forward requests be a good idea? As I said this is all hypothetical and I didn't complain as I know they are probably under pressure already.

YABU - who would judge if someone's appointment would be a quick one or a long one?

How is the receptionist supposed to know your problem is quick? What about people in a rush who lie to queue jump? What about a person who goes in for a repeat prescription and a serious medical problem is found or they have a heart attack or stroke while they're seeing the dr?
