Why do you think that?

autumnsummers · 04/04/2012 13:53

Yanbu. They look like enbalmed corpses.

hairytaleofnewyork · 04/04/2012 13:54

Because of what Autumn said, Britannia.

I just think it's odd to make bad life size "dolls" of famous people but found it oddly fascinating when I went

YANBU

But it must be even more odd to be a famous person and come face to face with a dead version of yourself Grin

When I went to MT they had a couple of wax 'tourists' ie a woman who had nodded off on a bench with her shopping bags. They looked more creepy than the slebs.

Mrsjay · 04/04/2012 14:13

yes they are i hate them I am really creeped out by them , I have visited historical places jails and what not and they have the maniquin (spelling) dressed up in costume , i do give a little shudder , I saw kate and wills today on the news and they had a shot of dianas waxwork looking on at the happy couple Hmm v creepy

SeaHouses · 04/04/2012 14:18

Surely that is the appeal of them? I am going to take the DCs to one when we get our Merlin cards. I will be making up a range of creepy tales and reading the wax work stories from the old ghost story short story collections before we go.

YANBU, I was too chicken to go down to the chamber of horrors in Tussauds when me and DH went, luckily I had pregnancy as an excuse not to as the ride thing that takes you there isn't suitable for pregnant women.

Mrsjay · 04/04/2012 14:51

I wont go into any dungeons ive missed out on york and edinburgh i stood outside Confused i would be really scared , i know its irrational ,

SeaHouses · 04/04/2012 14:58

The York one is scary and involves forced audience participation. I had to go in because of the kids, but hid behind a curtain with an Australian couple.

Mrsjay · 04/04/2012 14:59

oh my husband went in dd2 hated it dd1 and he loved it , i wouldve been behind the curtains with you,
