to be particular about seatbelts?

My gut feeling about seatbelts is tgat they are only fully effective if the person behind it is sitting properly.

So my sluochy DC are reminded constantly to sit up straight in their seats. For safety reasons naturally, not because it makes the car look tidier. Wink

AIBU to be particular that the seatbelts are positioned cirrectly or am I just a finnicky nag about sonething that is statistically unlikelt to be relevant?

Grin at nonplussed Trills. And I don't know whether YABU or not.

Let's say not and have a lovely picnic here instead.

UnChartered · 30/03/2012 10:49

oooh, you sweet talker

BusinessTrills · 30/03/2012 10:54

Not really, unless you truly are flouncing about seatbelts, this is still the wrong section :o

Valpollicella · 30/03/2012 10:55

You noodle Chaos.

UnChartered · 30/03/2012 11:02

if you were flouncing about seatbelts, though, you'd have to get up and get out of the car. which then would negate the flounce, since the seatbelt would no longer be required.

No?

HelenMumsnet · 30/03/2012 16:26

Um, we're going to move this thread to AIBU now.

Don't ANYONE flounce about that...

nickelhasababy · 30/03/2012 16:28

Tee2072 · 30/03/2012 16:39

But what if the car was moving, UnChart, when she tried to flounce about seatbelts? Would she not be able to flounce because her seatbelt was fastened?

::ponders::

UnChartered · 30/03/2012 16:43

oohhh Tee that adds another dimension...Hmm

AIBU to make the driver STOP the car so i can flounce about my seatbelt, then?

Tee2072 · 30/03/2012 16:46

YABU

If you're going to flounce, flounce!

Grin
UnChartered · 30/03/2012 16:56
