stands for 'dear daughter' or 'darling daughter'?

Wonder where it came from? S, D, H and P would make sense wouldn't it?

She is a dear - at the moment, but she isn't even a year old yet so I imagine the demon moments will come ;)

It's an Americanism, I was reading the 'D' on sites 15 years ago before sites became mainstream in the UK

In the words of my own 2 year old DD this morning:

"Not a pickle; I is a darling!"

Jinsei · 30/03/2012 07:31

ah, tanith, bless her :)

JustHecate · 30/03/2012 07:35

Yeah, on the rest of the internet, it's 'darling'. Here? Not so much Grin

People elsewhere think we're saying 'darling' too. In fact, it's something users of certain other forums have sneered at us for.

I don't use ds or dh (used to, but I don't bother now.) It's really not that much of a timesaver. Besides, I'm on here most of the bloody time, how much time do I need to save Grin
