Love that clip :)

ThatVikRinA22 · 26/03/2012 23:24

should definitely be mandatory.

Hoebag · 26/03/2012 23:30

I have no issue with vaccinating my child, however a relative of mine became severely disabled after an injection and I vowed to get all my kids done privately to safeguard against this, the fact I had to pay £000's to do this is a disgrace and further proof that it isnt about 'concern or health' just lining pockets.

bumbleymummy · 26/03/2012 23:34

Sorry but it's complete rubbish. Many people's decision not to vaccinate has feck all to do with the 'MMR causes autism' idea. Also, they mention vaccines that we don't have in the UK - by US standards even if you follow the complete UK schedule you are still an irresponsible parent who is leaving their child at risk of hepatitis, rotavirus and chickenpox. It also implies that diseases like rubella and mumps are more deadly than they actually are and completely ignores the fact that some children can be damaged by vaccines too. It just looks like an inaccurate load of vaccine propaganda to me.

runningforthebusinheels · 26/03/2012 23:37

OP YANBU. TheFarSide, that's a great seatbelt ad too.

bumbleymummy · 26/03/2012 23:42

I'll agree that the seatbelt ad is very good :)

bumbleymummy · 27/03/2012 08:03

Actually it makes out that most of the diseases are more risky than they actually are by using 110 pins. The risks of most of them are far far smaller than 1(or more)/110. It's just very misleading overall. What makes you think it is good?

exoticfruits · 27/03/2012 09:06

I don't think that anything should be mandatory. Who gets to decide? What happens if you refuse? The fact that it is mandatory immediately makes me not want to do it! A suggestion is enough.

Hoebag · 27/03/2012 09:18

If MMR is mandatory then the seperate ones need to be free also otherwise it has fuck all to do with health and welfare.

GrahamTribe · 27/03/2012 09:28

If watching any propaganda or having any unwanted medical procedure forced upon us becomes mandatory we have far more to worry about in this country than the very small chance of coming to permanent harm by contracting one of the illnesses mentioned.

YABU.
