To feel hurt and sidelined

Friend of mine ive known for six seven years now, we always used to go out a lot and she used to ask if she could bring her friend. I of course said yes, the more the merrier. She then fell out with her for a couple of years and said nothing about her.
She is now back on the scene and having nights out with her regularly. She never invites me out now even though I invite all my mates when im having a night out I dont see the need for the sort of nights where you just go out with one person.
Im just fucked off now her friend is back on the scene im not worth going out with anymore. Im over reacting aren't I?

Your feelings seem natural enough to me, though not everyone wants to go out in groups all the time and some like the company of one person at a time. . If you feel hurt, tell her.

I don't think you are overreacting to be fucked off.

Funnily enough I have just rang DH to moan about a friend we invited to a bbq last week who text 1 hour before to say she couldn't come (clearly she just couldn't be arsed) yet now I know she invited about 10 of our joint friends out for dinner last night. The bbq didn't matter as we had loads of people coming but it has annoyed me we weren't invited to the dinner last night.

Sorry didn't mean to hijack. What I suppose I am saying is that there are superficial flaky friends out there. I wouldn't bother with your friend anymore, let her contact you, what's the betting she does in about 6 months?

Yep she always does, especially when current friend fucks her off/she gets fed up of her (she spent the two odd years she didnt speak to her slagging her off).
I hate the way adults end up being like schoolkids again sometimes.
