When I've paid them to do so. Apparently they don't do it when there is a wastewater extension pipe. Grrrrrr

southeastastra · 22/03/2012 23:03

blimey it's not that hard to do, how odd of them!

WorraLiberty · 22/03/2012 23:03

But how would it help, MrsJay? Grin

Iwantcandy · 22/03/2012 23:11

No in a flat we rent out. My husband will have to go round and do it instead. The other annoying thing is they didn't take the old one away.

I just am in one of those I don't have the energy for this moods...

iwantcandy, scrap men will pick up the washine machine free.

PigletJohn · 22/03/2012 23:35

what is a a wastewater extension pipe?

Iwantcandy · 22/03/2012 23:50

No idea John. It's the reason they gave to my tenant. I presume it means there's a longish pipe which takes the dirty water away?

OP posts:
PigletJohn · 22/03/2012 23:53

how far is the washer from the drain?

PigletJohn · 22/03/2012 23:56

I bet it is do do withthis

Your water and electricity connections must be within one metre of the installation point for us to carry out this service, and it must be possible to turn off your mains water

Iwantcandy · 22/03/2012 23:59

I think you are right. They shouldve warned me beforehand though

maybe

I found it by going to the John Lewis washing machine page, and clicking on

"Our installation, recycling and disposal services"

then

"connecting freestanding washing machines, dishwashers and tumble driers."

Sorry.
