I meant to remind DP to put the bin out this morning and forgot. Just heard them and went lumbering out (38weeks pregnant) and the lovely binman had already collected the bin from up the drive! Thank-you for not being a jobsworth like the recycling collectors!

Aw that's really nice! Our binmen wave at DD (who waves at them from the window). Much friendlier than the recycling men!Grin

Yeay Mr bin man!

Kellamity · 22/03/2012 08:44

What a nice bin man! We have lovely bin men too, they always wave at DD and will take the extra bag here and there. Yay for lovely bin men Smile

Ahhh nice binman! :)

A lady across the street from me is always giving them homemade cake, I think that why we have nice ones for out street !

Recyling men are bastards, cake or no cake Angry

oh that is lovely. Would you consider perhaps emailing someone at the council and telling them. i bet they get lots of complaints and no compliments. i reckon its a tough job and it's great that they went the extra mile for you.

Icelollycraving · 22/03/2012 09:08

Don't forget to tip them at Christmas!

RunningLatte · 22/03/2012 09:10

Absolutely,I agree with Iheart. Its so easy to complain, but its a lovely thing to ring and give a compliment!

larks35 · 22/03/2012 09:23

Smileyay for nice binmen. Def email and tell them

AmazingBouncingFerret · 22/03/2012 09:27

We have lovely binmen too. I'm always late putting mine out Blush so more often than not he drags it down my steps for me so I don't have to venture out in my dressing gown and slippers!

Annpan88 · 22/03/2012 11:17

oooh be careful how you word the compliment though as they're not meant to take the bin from peoples property. Say he saw you struggling and came to help, don't say he just did it!

littlepie · 22/03/2012 11:29

We too have lovely binmen and horrible recycling men (they tease the dog through the fence!).

Seems to be a theme....

Pootles2010 · 22/03/2012 11:31

Ours is lovely, he backed the bin lorry back down our street once when i was late putting ours out.

Smellslikecatspee · 22/03/2012 12:07

We have lovely BinMen too!

And I have emailed and told the council about this, they are that nice!

startail · 22/03/2012 12:28

The recycling men are dreadful, come unbelievably early and just chuck the emptied boxes any old where.

The single track lane to school is interesting enough without green boxes in the middle of the road.
