my dad died 3 years ago, and I ended up with his tv and Dyson.
last week I got a cold call......it named the brand of the tv and talked aout the cover running out.
then today I got a call saying they had called about my dyson.

how do these people know?
I didn't contact anyone and say I had a dyson or a sony Tv.
no one involved in my dads estate did, so how do they know?

The Dyson thing is a con. They tell you that you need to have it serviced to keep the warning.
My mum had this call, the men came round to fix her Dyson, it now doesnt work and so she phoned Dyson and they told her she has invalidated her wadi nifty as it was not their staff who contacted her and they don't do servicing like that

I guess they just phone people in the hope they have a Dyson

It is a big con. A lot of cold callers do this, and they just choose the most common makes, or work on surveys you may have filled in.

I don't like cold callers. Especially those who are flogging double glazing. It's perfectly obvious that we have double glazing but, as most people have it now, they want us to replace what we have. I have aluminium frames and they suggest that I 'update' to plastic UPVC. Plastic! Ugh! There's nothing wrong with my windows.

ahhh so it is just a spooky coincidence,
I thought maybe it was a message from the other side.....

We've had it for our Dyson and our Sky box. Both times DP freaked out about getting them serviced, losing warranty etc but luckily I spoke to them and all the dates for purchase etc they had totally wrong.
