To be utterly in love with my new car?

It's not new new - it's nearly 8 yrs old but it's in perfect condition and has a full service history. It's really quiet, everything works unlike my old car, and also unlike my old car Hmm I can get it to accelerate without a week's notice (and it goes up hills without wheezing and sounding like the engine is trying to leap out of the bonnet). And I can play music again. And the back door slide open when I press a button. And it's got central locking. And it bings at me all the time which I find really endearing

My dad got mud on the carpet in the passenger footwell yesterday when we all went for a walk and I had to button my lip not to say rude words to him.....

As DS2 said to me just now 'It's like a proper car mummy'.

It's a Citreon C8. MPV - we had a Galaxy before which I loved too but this is so much nicer.

YANBU. I got a "new" car (not brand new) last October. It was 7 years old with ONLY 37,000 mileage...and I only got it for 2,100!

I can completely understand how it feels to go from a banger to nice car!!

Enjoy!!

OrmIrian · 19/03/2012 16:39

Yes, ours is much lower mileage (for a diesel).
