It's not new new - it's nearly 8 yrs old but it's in perfect condition and has a full service history. It's really quiet, everything works unlike my old car, and also unlike my old car 
I can get it to accelerate without a week's notice (and it goes up hills without wheezing and sounding like the engine is trying to leap out of the bonnet). And I can play music again. And the back door slide open when I press a button. And it's got central locking. And it bings at me all the time which I find really endearing
My dad got mud on the carpet in the passenger footwell yesterday when we all went for a walk and I had to button my lip not to say rude words to him.....
As DS2 said to me just now 'It's like a proper car mummy'.
