I mean really really really hate them??

Infact if I owned the world it would be the law that any car whose alarm goes off at 3am because a cat walked by/ its raining/ another car parked too close would automatically be crushed.

Can you tell that I was woken up A LOT by a car alarm last night???!!!

YANBU. In the history of car alarms nobody has ever rang the police saying "I think someone is trying to steal my neighbours car, the alarm has just gone off". But there have been a few "it's been blaring for ages, and if you don't do something about it I will take a sledge hammer to the bastard thing". Why do they never wake up said neighbour though [grrrrr]

Can I add my support for the apparent USELESSNESS of car alarms? They serve no other purpose than to get between me and my sleep as far as I can see. Please also file under HOUSE ALARMS!

When DP's car alarm went off at 3am, parked on BIL's drive, DP went out the front door, BIL went out the back door, and they nearly twatted each other thinking they'd caught the twat who'd smashed the window! Better not to know until the morning.
