AIBU about this mother's day book?

I was helping DSD pick out a present for her mum yesterday. She ended up choosing a book from Waterstones ? just had a flick through it and saw on one page ?I love my mummy more than?..daddy?. DSD was a bit upset when she read it and she asked if she could take that page out because it wasn?t true. AIBU to think that books shouldn?t have sentiments like that in? Or am I making a fuss of nothing?

Yep 100% sure, it has stuff like 'I love my mummy becuase....' and 'I love mummy more that sweets ect.' - all fine until the daddy comment.

I would return the book and email the publisher. That's horrible and so hurtful.

That's awful . Help her choose something else, there's no way I'd allow her to hand that tripe over.

Imagine all the people who've bought and given it and not realised that particular sentiment is expressed. And how wholly inappropriate it is not just for a traditional family, but for those with less conventional set-ups and other issues. God can of worms or what?! I really think YANB at all U.

DP took DSD into town to return it - the sales guy though it was awful too and said he would speak to his boss about it. I'm going to email the publisher later.

Maybe if we email this thread to f4j they might bugger off and leave MN alone. Probably to go strip naked outside the publisher's offices, but hey they won't be here!

I'd add something about this on google reviews, Amazon or the Waterstones website to warn others not to buy it. Awful.
