Take care of yourselves - and each other.

Ironic considering how ten minutes ago your guests were smacking each other round the head with their shoes.

I watch Jeremy Kyle (Grin that's right, I admitted it), and he gets all angry and annoyed when he's called Jerry, I think it's hilarious when it happens because his reaction is really funny.

Aw I miss Jerry Springer! What channel is it on?

uruculager · 17/03/2012 02:53

YABU. You presumably find it funny to watch people publicly humiliated, denigrated and ridiculed while having their private lives thrown open to the world.

Jerry Springer and Jeremy Kyle are exceptionally cruel people who exploit people in vulnerable situations to produce a bit of light entertainment.

i love jerry. and steve, he has his own show now.

glamourousgranny42 · 17/03/2012 08:25

I also love Jerry. Though these half hour programmes are edited just for the fighting I think. I love the audience on Steves show, how they chant his name like a pack of zombies! Lol. It is car crash tv but its v entertaining. Of course people are being exploited but they have chosen to be exploited

minimisschief · 17/03/2012 09:30

uruculager you have niely summed up why the shows are great. Thank you for your input

I saw Jerry Springer show for the first time ever last week. Two women (previously friends), one who had been sleeping with the other one's H. Both women very overweight, were encouraged to fight, pull each others clothes off then spend the rest of the 'interview' in their bras. Then the audience were encouraged to have their say, basically humiliating the women, being verbally nasty.

I honestly could not believe what I was seeing - I lasted 10 mins before turning off. Are the guests real, or are they actors, because I can't understand why anyone would put themselves through that? Are they paid, or are they looking for their 15 minutes of fame? The couple in the above scenario had children - why on earth would you want to behave like that on national TV knowing that your children may see it and their school friends would see it.

Are the guests being exploited or are they so warped that they see this as a valid thing to do?

And through it all, Mr Springer was sitting at the edge of the stage with a smug smirk on his presumably multi millionaire face.

I don't even remember starting this thread Confused

Maybe I was to engrossed in Jerry. Steve has his own show? Shock Which channel?

Guests know exactly what they are going on there for! We all have our problems, some of us like to air them on tv. Who knows why!

Take care of yourselves....and each other! Grin
