I don't need a man to put up a roller blind do I?

Have a friend who has said for weeks he'd put up some blinds for me......and continued to promise without actually coming round to do so. I've cooked for him twice in that time - the last time he was supposed to do the blinds while I was cooking but never got here in time.

I don't need him to do it so I? The instructions look okay and my Dad's drill is charging, I have the screwdrivers and screws etc. I can do this can't I?

Any recommended DIY websites as my exH and all other man in mny life are a total waste of time with promises and no action.

No, you can totally do it yourself

Google 'how to fit a roller blind', watch video, read the instructions, 'measure twice, drill once' and no... you don't need some bloke to do it. :) Can also recommend getting hold of the Reader's Digest DIY manual. Saves you a fortune but can spark a rather worrying love of power-tools.

Tell me how you get on because we have a roller blind sitting in the bathroom waiting to go up and I can tell it's going to be me, not DH, who cracks first and has a bash at it!

It can sometimes be useful to have an extra pair of hands to hold things for you, but no you don't need a man :)

Agree with suggestion to google for instructions/videos, that's what I normally do when I have to do some DIY/household thing...

I tried it myself and totally cocked up. I'll be paying a man (or woman) to do it for me in future!
