To be annoyed at DH?

DH tells me he will be home tonight at a reasonable hour - I think 6pm-ish.

He is working 12+ hour days at the moment, including Saturdays and has been pretty much since birth of DC.

Don't get me wrong, he is a fantastic Dad, but when I expect him home to spend an hour with me and baby ... I ring him, to find out he's in the pub.

I don't mind him having nights out with mates etc, but when I've built my hopes up of actually spending some family time together I'd like to know if I'm being unreasonable to be a bit miffed?

YANBU but neither is he really. His view is he's working like a fecking dog and could murder a pint.

P.S This follows a conversation with SIL about how tough he has it at work at the moment but how good he is with DC when he is at home! Grrr - I really shouldn't big him up to his sister so much!

I had this with DH with child 1/2 he really did not understand where I was coming from but I had to talk to him and tell him how resentful I was and he understood [after child 3 and 4 !!!!!] Now he is wonderful but we have been together 16 years ... give him time
