To think once a rebel always a rebel?

I am to all intents and purposes a respectable MC mum of 2 with a good prof qualification and good job. BUT I need to rebel on a regular basis. Only small acts really, but if anyone challenges me or my DC my immediate reaction is FUCK OFF. I just have a need to rebel, and wish sometimes that I could just tow the line, and go to bed early and not say FUCK OFF, but I can't.

What rebellious acts are we talking of here?

It's always fun to let off steam though, if that's what you meant.

Proudnscary · 05/03/2012 22:05

Err, ok...

FunnysInTheGarden · 05/03/2012 22:06

I think this all stems from having an earring that I made myself from letter beads which said 'Fuck Off' and wore it to dinner with it facing my dad. He was Shock

yes, just letting off steam really. Sometimes I am sanguine, today I am being a rebel. Nothing in particular, just a need not to tow the line

More bad-mannered than rebellious imo.

FunnysInTheGarden · 05/03/2012 22:14

a bit, but at the mo feel more like <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=twinkleboi.com/music/wp-content/uploads/prodigy.jpg&imgrefurl=twinkleboi.com/music/2009/06/prodigy-voodoo-temper-twinkleboi-remix/&h=400&w=280&sz=11&tbnid=uO9BNNdJ0Nj_SM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=63&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dprodigy%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=prodigy&docid=lNYKD2_R7F0cVM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=QjpVT5v-Jc7E8QPB8KTcDg&sqi=2&ved=0CGUQ9QEwBw&dur=482this" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=twinkleboi.com/music/wp-content/uploads/prodigy.jpg&imgrefurl=twinkleboi.com/music/2009/06/prodigy-voodoo-temper-twinkleboi-remix/&h=400&w=280&sz=11&tbnid=uO9BNNdJ0Nj_SM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=63&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dprodigy%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=prodigy&docid=lNYKD2_R7F0cVM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=QjpVT5v-Jc7E8QPB8KTcDg&sqi=2&ved=0CGUQ9QEwBw&dur=482this

I know what you mean. Sometimes I just want to bad and break the routine of everyday life.

Your Fuck Off earring made me Grin and reminds me of a bag I had that said something like 'You're a Biatch' and I made a point of taking it to work everyday and walking slowly past my boss so she'd pick up on my hatred for her. However I was 17 and couldn't express myself in an appropriate way like I can now.

FunnysInTheGarden · 05/03/2012 22:20

Just the sort of thing I meant Lightbulb small acts which make you feel better Grin

I still have the teenage rebel in me, most definitely. I don't feel the urge to tell people to fuck off, but I do get the urge to sneak into places that I shouldn't be in at school parents evening to have a look, or to suss out the good smoking areas.

FunnysInTheGarden · 05/03/2012 22:24

I don't actually tell folk to FO, I just feel like it, and also feel the need to smoke when my teenage self is riled........

Fair enough then.

topknob · 05/03/2012 22:25

I was a bit of a loud mouth as a teen and it still sometimes shows now and I am 34 :b Anyone hurts my kids, I hurt them, it's how it goes ! Or damage my car and I hurt you !

skybluepearl · 05/03/2012 23:36

My immature rebelious side comes out in other ways - secretly hanging a canvas of the queen where my friends family portrait used, using bluetack in school to create a hitler moustache on heads photo or swapping the salt for the sugar.
