DD and 'The Wanted'

DD (14) saw 'The Wanted' on Friday. She has also seen them before. She's now having a paddy as they are back in town on Tuesday and she 'HAS' to see them again.

Some of her circle (not immediate friends) had VIP tickets so I'm being unfair.Hmm

I have told her if she keeps going on about it I'll ground her for a month.

Let her go.

We have taken the DS's to see Green Day twice and we will be looking out for their next tour.

GerardWay · 04/03/2012 20:06

Actually, the last time I saw MCR was at Wembley Arena. I was so poorly I sat down through most of it. Sad

I don't mind the twice (or more, I love gigs) but I think March 2nd and March 6th is pushing her luck.

She said that 'The Wanted' only had one poster for sale. It was framed but £50 blinking pounds!!!

If she can pay for it, let her go!

(And wind her up mercilessly when she's 17 and far too cool for pop music!)

GerardWay · 04/03/2012 20:20

Oh, and we are having problems as she saw 1 Direction here in January and want's to go to London next year. (I think they have sold out)

Hi BeerTricksPott3r That's what keeps me sane when she's on and on about Louis or Nathan. To be honest 'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree' if I look at my DD and my daft crushes on Gerard Way and Jered Leto. Grin

Ooh DS1 wanted to see MCR in Hawai last year when we were on holiday - they were playing on a different island - one that we went across to during our holiday, but we were meeting up with friends who were not there the second week of our hols so he missed out.

MyLittleMiracle · 04/03/2012 20:32

Bless her! I remember being like that and the are fit. I mean if i was 14 i would fancy them rotten too (although am i too old at 23 to say that?)

It is so expensive though, but let her go! Take photos and remind her every time she says but do i have to do that get the photo out and say yes you do remember what i did for you? Always good to have a bribe!

GerardWay · 04/03/2012 20:35

Ohhh, I've seen them 3 times. Once at a little gig at the BIC, then Brighton and then Wembley Arena. My DH had booked a suite (for £50 Grin) in the Hilton Plaza when on special offer. I was so, very, very poorly that I wasn't in the mood for MCR or a night away from my stroppy teenage children.

But she did go. On Friday.....she has the photos to prove it. I just don't want to pay for her to see them again 4 days later.

A 32 year old woman i work with always goes on about them and went to see them the other week. I think they are foul!

elvisaintdead · 04/03/2012 21:53

If she has pocket money saved to pay for it, let her go. If you have to foot the bill then just say no - she has seen them once already!!

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDawn · 04/03/2012 21:53

I saw MCR at Newcastle, and struck up a conversation with a young girl at the bar, leading to...
ME: Oh yes, one of the support band is Gerard's wife, that's how they got the gig
HER: Wife? WIFE? fucking WIFE?
Me: yes, his wife....
HER: When he had pneumonia, I PRAYED for him to get well! If I'd known he was fucking MARRIED only dogs could hear the D it was so high pitched I wouldn't have fucking well bothered!!!!!!!
HER MOTHER: How many fucking times have I told you not to fucking swear?
ME: Gulp of large drink

MyLittleMiracle · 04/03/2012 23:54

I think its so easy to get obsessed with these celebrities (oh leonardo dicaprio, ah in the beach or titanic or romeo and juliet) sorry off topic can we have a thread on teenage crushes please? might be amusing? Off i pop!

ComposHat · 05/03/2012 01:17

My Chemical Romance?

Is that the band that all the Emo kids (or the emotional children as I like to call them) are into?
