Because I have just Veeted my "bikini line" and instead of leaving it on for the maximum ten minutes, it's been on for sixteen, as I was reading AIBU?

The pain..... I am walking round with a cold flannel I'm my pants and it's all your fault.

YABU

It's not MN's fault that you have no self-control :o

CailinDana · 04/03/2012 18:31

I'm cross because I know more about strangers' undercarriages than I ever intended to know in my lifetime.

MissPenteuth · 04/03/2012 18:31

Was it the Veet that's specifically for bikini line/underarms? I once used the leg stuff under my arms, it was all inflamed and blistered for days afterwards [ouch emoticon]

MissVerinder · 04/03/2012 18:33

But calling technically this is a public service to warn against Maintenance whilst Mumsmetting.

Ouch.

TheAlmightyBob · 04/03/2012 18:33

last time i veeted i was going away with DH for a weekend of shagging.

i smothered my whole legs, fanjo, pits, everywhere from chin down.

the reaction left me itchy, spotty and bleeding and so sore i couldn't be touched, let alone shag.

that was also MNs fault as i got sidetracked.

MissVerinder · 04/03/2012 18:35

MissP it is indeed the correct Veet.

I have some aloe vera gel somewhere, or would vinegar be better?

OP posts:
PoultryInMotion · 04/03/2012 19:20

I must have the hide of a rhino, left mine on for 20 mins the other day and all was well Grin

< offers MissVerinder unused aloe gel >

AbbyAbsinthe · 04/03/2012 19:51

I used the leg version on my Tallulah a couple if years ago. I left it on for twice the time cos it was like the Amazon rainforest. I went for the full Hollywood... Oh my fucking god, the pain.. It took the top layer of skin off and I had to carry a tube of Germolene in my bag for the whole of the next day at work.

I almost called in sick.

"Hi, I won't be in today, I have a LABIAL EMERGENCY!"

Grin
SuzyLewis · 04/03/2012 19:56

That's why I love my slightly evil epilator!

QuaaludesAndRedWine · 04/03/2012 19:57

Vinegar

IslaValargeone · 04/03/2012 19:58

:o at 'labial emergency'

MissVerinder · 04/03/2012 20:38

I am trying to be clever, thinking the acid in the vinegar will counteract the alkali of the Veet.

DP seems especially enthusiastic about the vinegar, so, given his sadistic nature, I'm using the gel!

'labial emergency' Grin

Poultry 20 minutes? ! ? ! Eeeep!

MissVerinder · 04/03/2012 22:48

www.online-stopwatch.com/

a must when timing and MN :)

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 04/03/2012 22:56

Any mention of Veet reminds me of the MNer who Veeted her baby by accident... Grin

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDawn · 04/03/2012 23:20

But isn't Veet for cleaning the plughole?

my2centsis · 05/03/2012 00:47

How did someone veer their baby by accident? Hmm

StateofConfusion · 05/03/2012 01:02

Doing her legs baby on the floor a bit slipped of her leg Grin

Babys look good in hats fortunatly!

I'm also I the 'hide of a rhino' camp too it would seem.

TheSinglePringle · 05/03/2012 01:06
