To want to down tools and shut up shop

Had to leave my 14 year old son at home alone in pain unable to move his head due to a trapped nerve/pulled muscle. I'm sad that I had to make this choice due to being the only one around today to open the shop

being home alone when I'll comes to us all, but 14 and parents with no choice sucks. Is there a friend who could mind the shop for an hour while you check on him?
