I've just finished putting parental locks on all the sodding porn channels we got with the virgin box and it really annoyed me we even had them in the first place. I dread the day when im asked why "red hot fetish" has a lock on it. I'm no prude but i really really dont want my kids to be seeing such things.

As far as im aware, there is no service that allows you to select what channels your package comes with. We dont even watch half the bloody crap on there yet we're forking out £38 a month.

I was having this conversation last night with DH. We don't use half the channels you automatically get subscribed to; it seems such a waste!

You even get them with Freeview ( we don't have Virgin/ SKy)

Try Sky then we don't automaticly get them and you can be quit selective with your channel selection if you speck to them. Although a lot of people don't seem to know this, I think they don't adverties it as it's make's your package cheeper.

That won't work as when your area is switched to digital. We just had to delete about 12 porn channels on our freeveiw TV.

Oh and I agree with the OP about music videos. They should not be shown at any time of day.

My tellies must both be haunted then, as though the channel titles are there, neither actually picks up those channels (there's a few like that that aren't porn too).

We only have freeview but we can choose. Google around for software.

Yanbu. We have freeview and despite me locking all the porn channels they still show up on the electronic guide. That'll be fun when the dc's can read and scroll through it .

You pay for a package.

If you want more channels, you pay for a better/bigger/more expensive package.

If there are channels you don't like, you can lock them.

You can't say "I want to swap the music channels for Sky Atlantic".

YWNBU if you said that you wanted the porn channels to be opt-in though.
