In thinking he won't call me?

Had classic head turn moment in supermarket today, he was 6'5" , early 30's, tattoos, very sexy!! Caught me looking, followed me through checkout and asked for my number. So out of practice am I, I threw my business card at him, told him he was "the hottest thing I'd seen in a long time" and buggered off quickly to my car! do you think I made a mess if it? Probably should have had a little chat, but I panicked!! He was too sexy!!
Grrrrr..... (staring at my phone!)

Wow! Nothing like that's ever happened to me Envy

GreenEyesAndHam · 25/02/2012 20:45

Really?

HalfPastWine · 25/02/2012 20:48

You should have taken his number too.

cherrytopping · 25/02/2012 20:51

50:50 chance I'd say.

Depends on how interested he is, and if he realised how flustered you were.

If anything the business card is the mistake there, not anything else, as it gave you the chance to leg it, rather than chat whilst you wrote down your number. I don't saying he was sexy will be off-putting tbh!

troisgarcons · 25/02/2012 20:52

He'll call - he will think you are easy

HalfPastWine · 25/02/2012 20:54

Grin troisgarcons

AKissIsNotAContract · 25/02/2012 20:56

I think he'll call you on Wednesday. He won't want to call over the weekend as he'll either be busy or wanting to appear busy.

cherrytopping · 25/02/2012 20:56

And whats necessarily wrong with being easy, if he's fucking hot? ;)

TheSinglePringle · 25/02/2012 20:56

You did better then I would. I would have just ran, no number or anything Grin

picnicbasketcase · 25/02/2012 20:57

Fookin hell. Bit forward isn't it? Whatever happened to blushing eye contact, shy smile... then lying across your car bonnet?

annalovesmrbates · 25/02/2012 21:02

DH (very carefully) said that if he was single and hadn't met me, yes, he would call. And would call tonight if he was free.

hatesponge · 25/02/2012 21:05

I think he won't. However I am in a bad mood due to my date from last night not having contacted me at all today (despite asking to see me again Hmm) so my views are somewhat cynical at present.

ReebleBauble · 25/02/2012 21:13

according to DP, who started his reply with "Well, having never been a sexy man or had woman throw anything at me let alone her number..." says that he would see being called the hottest thing a reason to call. That by saying it, its fiesty and confident and he'd call just to see how it plays out.

He is a mid 30's nerd who didnt have a girlfriend for 11 years before meeting me though, so chances are he would have called anyone...

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 25/02/2012 22:49

Do Mills and Boon pay well these days?

SwimmingThroughSickLullabies · 26/02/2012 01:36

hatesponge You don't want him to call the next day. That has desperado written all over it. He'll call tomorrow maybe trying to play it cool.

FreudianSlipper · 26/02/2012 01:42

how exciting

i would want him to call quickly too, meet up hopefully still like him and have sex i am guessing you are not holding out for a relationship with him so do not worry how you came over

vintagewarrior · 26/02/2012 14:13

Thanks everyone! Felt such an idiot afterwards!! I'm thinking he won't call, but felt amazing he even noticed me!! After 2 years single not really looking, a casual fling with a hottie is just what the doctor ordered, so crossing fingers til about Wednesday.....

ImperialBlether · 26/02/2012 14:15

I'm just trying to imagine myself telling a complete stranger that he's the hottest thing I've ever seen.

Were you sober? Otherwise, I really can't.

TwoStepsBack · 26/02/2012 14:17

Did you check out what he was buying?

I'd have been looking for clues as to whether he was single or not.

Astronaut79 · 26/02/2012 14:21

Envy at being able to think of something to say.

Not that I'm looking, dh, if you're reading threads I'm on. Grin

:o Ha! A trolley full of pampers wouldn't be a good start !

MrsKittyFane · 26/02/2012 14:26

Also Hmm @ following you and asking for your number.
But then, I am cynical and suspicious.

TwoStepsBack · 26/02/2012 14:26

[grin]@MrsKitty

I'd be hiding the tena ladys in my basket!

GoingForGoalWeight · 26/02/2012 14:29

Confident chap. Maybe he is genuine, he might call you, :) He thought you were HOT too. Not easy, if he does you can prove you are not.

Good luck.
