To be a bit :-O at R4

Flicking through the channels in my car this morning and arrived at Radio 4 Extra which had some sort of comedy sketch on. It involved a woman asking a man questions about his personal life and one of the questions was 'have you ever had oral or anal sex with another man?'. He answered no to this and a few other questions, then she replied 'bloody hell you are boring'. This was on at about 7.40am. AIBU to be a bit at jokes about oral and anal sex on the radio at that time of day.

Or am I turning into a harrumphing Mary Whitehouse? (always a possibility I suppose)....

How many impressionable children are listening to radio 4 extra early in the morning?

Neither radio 4 extra, nor radio 4 are completely safe for children to listen to, unless you want to Explain Stuff

i was listening to a programme on R4 about chopping open wolves to have grandmothers leap out of them...

DD1 was intrigued...

but yes, it is adult radio...generally it is on, but they are tuned out...

This topic is frequently raised and is usually responded to with a "we are a grown-up radio station and we don't have a watershed, unlike those cissies over in TVland".
And then they wonder why they don't have junior listeners.
