why do i lie !!!

The kids are back at school. I have four children 8-13, a springer spaniel, a Husband and all the general duties that go with being a mum/housekeeper/taxi driver/ referee as well as finishing my degree this year and my lovely husband has decided to start a new business- he works presently so guess who doing all the start up !!! However why oh why when he says " What you been up to all day by your little lonesome" apart from wanting to punch him over the little lonesome bit [love him dearly been together 16 years !! but ...] why do i not say " watching day time telly nad eating biscuits and copious cups of tea" why do i lie and say " cleaning out the airing cupboard..." when he on his day off switches from cricket to footie to movies without any guilt at all !! Am i not allowed a day off after half term !!! mmm anyway back to the ginger nuts ..

of course you are allowed a day off.

so why do you lie?

I do it too. I think it's fear that if I ever admit to being less than 100% flat out all the time, somehow I will get more work/responsibilities piled onto me because I've obviously "got it too easy".
