I know they are a business and it needs to make money but....

we bought 3 x melin passes last year so we could go regularly.to the parks zoo and theme park it worked.out a cheap day out now they have lowered height limit from 1m to 90cm we will have to pay full price.for the twins if we want to use our passes ;-(

They charge the same for.children over 90cm up to age 11 my small 3 year olds don't go on.any rides and I.can't justify the cost to.take them in for a few hours. My neice is a tall 2,yr old and will have to pay to go as well.

I know they can do as they please but we wouldn't have bought the passes if we had known we wouldn't be able to use them ;-( we have no one who would have the twins while we take dd

Last year could have been less than two months ago though.

If your children are still below the old height limit and the passes are fairly recent you could always complain, politely, and ask for a refund or a one day pass for the twins or something.

I'm sure this change is covered in their terms and conditions, and they won't have to give you anything, but they might offer a goodwill gesture and it can't hurt to ask.

I agree, speak nicely to the company, play on the fact you have twins! surely they will be rubbing their hands in glee at the potential profit they can make from you in the future if they keep you sweet now! The may give your twins a free pass, that would make the most business sense.

DD is older than the twins - both boys - shoeless one is 95cm the other 98cm :(

They will only go on the tiny trucks - i took them on bubble works and they totally freeked out.

I know i will have to pay for them if i want to use the passes but you cant get bogof deals on child tickets :(

£21.60 for zoo days and £40.32 for full park days for the 2 x 3yr olds at the gate you can get them slightey cheeper if we book in advance.

Is there anyone who could look after the boys? A friend? Teenager babysitter, grandparents, friend etc?

LAlady · 17/02/2012 14:37

It's been 1m for years! My two (11 and 9) have been going since in pushchairs. Can't believe they have changed it !

No we dont have anyone who will have the boy's :( My parents say there too old and dh mum has a very active social life and wont give it up to babysit - i can't blame her i also have a dt but she just isnt interested in the kids.

We havent had a night out with just me and Dh in nearly a year as we can't find anyone to babysit - needs to be someone we know as dd tends to get up alot.

I am not sure i would leave the boys with somone they don't know for any length of time in the day its just annoying i hate wasting money :(
