We're going tomorrow lol. Kids love it. All the cake you can eat...whats not to love :)

BleurghUna · 16/02/2012 20:16

What's a taybarn? Can you just avoid it if it's that bad?

ParanoidAnnie · 16/02/2012 20:19

Went on a whim and it was sooo bad all DH and I could do was laugh. Although you have a point, kids loved it. Smile

Just googled Taybarn - it's an all you can eat restaurant. What's so bad about it? Please tell, there;s one in my parents' home town, I might be tempted to go there one day!

ParanoidAnnie · 16/02/2012 20:27

I suppose you should go once!

We've just had horrendous experience. Think fighting waitresses. People walking around eating foods directly off their plates with no knife and fork. People EVERYWHERE... Getting banged into and pushed by kids. People eating without even bothering to take their coats off (it is a pet hate of mine). No allergy info so the only thing my DD could eat was beans.

The food was horrendous. Like a kids canteen on speed.

Hahaha - we though about going to the one in Wigan until I read the review on Tripadvisor "like Butlins for Jeremy Kyle contestants"

Mandy2003 · 16/02/2012 22:10

Whispers I don't believe we have them in the South of England...

EauDeLaPoisson · 16/02/2012 22:12

Was going to go to one a few towns away but my friend who lives there put me off by saying there are Yorkshire puddings and pizza all over the floor

Sirzy · 16/02/2012 22:13

Certainly not the place to go if you want a nice quiet meal. If you want to eat crap food in great quantities in a noisy chaotic environment I guess it's great

IUseTooMuchKitchenRoll · 16/02/2012 22:15

So it's like Ponderosa (or something like that) in America?

ParanoidAnnie · 16/02/2012 22:15

I can honestly say it was the worst dining experience we have ever had. I actually think a few people had come out in their pyjamas ....

I actually poured gravy all over DD's desert.... I thought it was chocolate sauce Smile
