Have name changed but am a regular poster.
I'm in the forces stationed near York.
Now don't get me wrong, I understand the forces is all about repetition and following orders. But on a regular basis we ( there are probably around ten thousand of us. ) have manoeuvres which involve a forced march up a bloody great hill.
This wouldn't be so bad, but once we get to the top we're told we're 'up' before rapidly being marched to the bottom where it's announced that we're 'down'.
I mean WTAF !
And then we march to the half way station where we're told we're ' neither up nor down' . It's really starting to get to me, and I'm sure I can hear children's voices. A kind of distant singing that comes from the sky.
AIBU to leave ? I keep hearing reports that all the Kings men and all the Kings horses are needed for an urgent humanitarian mission but we're stuck marching up and down this sodding hill !
