You have got thorough a box of tissues by 9, and you can't sniff and are wearing your dh's clothes for comfort despite the fact he is twice your size, its all about the comfort and you have drunk a whole bottle of lucozade already...anyone else?

Oh good God this is why I usually lurk and not post!, what the hell is grammer?!. Im going back to my hermit lurking shell!...with my germs.

Florabeebaby · 15/02/2012 11:00

Ignoring all the grammar corrections etc....I'm ill too. 3rd day of night time fever and a bloody sore throat!
Can't sleep and have to be up with DD at the crack of dawn and then take care of her all day (13m). Urgh!
You have my sympathies...

RaPaPaPumPumBootyMum · 15/02/2012 11:02

My problem is that when I am ill my DH usually is too.

And Man Flu always trumps ordinary flu Grin

Springisoutthere · 15/02/2012 11:03

Im popping out of my shell to say hope you get better soon Florabeebaby, mine have been dispatched to inlaws... going back to my ill shell now!.

You know you're ill when going for a wee is too much like hard work.
Get well soon everyone. If you had the same things as I did a few days ago it's fairly short lived

CatVonB · 15/02/2012 11:11

Stealth - I wished that my DH's bad back/cold was short lived - sadly not...

LaBoccaDellaVerita · 15/02/2012 11:16

You should be grateful for the grammar correction. Look at it as a free lesson and maybe now that you know you won't embarrass yourself on, for example, an official form of some kind.

StealthPolarBear · 15/02/2012 11:18

Sorry to hear that CVB.

StealthPolarBear · 15/02/2012 11:20

LaBocca, do you not use different rules when you're on MN to on official forms etc? I often write youre on here, especially when I'm on my phone, where a ' feels like hard work. I would never do that in any official/seli-official situation.

Olderbutnottoooldyetmum · 15/02/2012 11:27

Yes. Ill here as well. I don't normally post and just read too so must be the germs ..

Springisoutthere · 15/02/2012 12:31

LaBoccaDellaVerita, Im taking that as tongue-in-cheek, for a start I don't embarrass easily, and in addition to that I use this as a way of passing the time and would use it for sound advice, not for a "free lesson" on grammer, it is an internet forum not an official form, in my everyday life I'd make an effort to proof read and besides which, I started a thread on being ill...NOT grammar!

...must be feeling better to assert myself Smile

You know you're ill when you cough so much you pee a little in your knickers.... and don't jump up immediately to change them Blush

porcamiseria · 15/02/2012 13:40

Ugh fuck off grammer police, FUCK OFF!
OP i had a cold for 2 weeks, tis the season

MidnightinMoscow · 15/02/2012 13:43

Sympathies to you all.

I am 36 weeks pregnant, just been in hospital with pleurisy and now have the most annoying residual cough. DS is driving me bonkers, he is 2, and all I want to do is just lock myself in a darkened room somewhere.

usualsuspect · 15/02/2012 13:46

Get well soon , and fuck the grammar police on here

Keep posting

leftmymistletoeatthedoor · 15/02/2012 13:57

Take comfort in the fact that people who feel the need to correct other people's grammar are self righteous twats so, ill you may be but twat you are not!

I can't even be bothered to watch tv, typing this is taking monumental effort, I never catch tummy bugs. Let me re-phrase that, I never used to catch tummy bugs. I so hope the kids don't get it especially as dd is 16m and full of the cold and ds is 5 and his asthma is bad. :(

Get well soon everyone.
