To not get the Kate Middleton weight hype?

This is totally frivolous and I know I shouldn't care but I'm obsessed (with weight, not with the Royal family!)

Since the wedding there seems to have been so much hype about this poor girl and how she is clearly underweight/anorexic/eating disordered etc.

I just don't get it. Yes, she's thin, yes she's lost weight but I don't think she looks sick does she? She looks fantastic in my opinion. Older than her age perhaps but not because she's too thin.

from that photo alone (never taken any notice of her) she doesn't look underweight and she could be wearing hair thingies (never really understood about them either) just for the hell of it not cause shes losing her hair

I read that was a scar. It was in the Daily Fail so it must be true.

She is thin but doesn't look unhealthily so. I think she'd look more attractive with half a stone on her but that is just my opinion.

I agree with others. I glance at sleb news on newspaper websites but I think it is a bit odd to start a thread about it.

But it's valentines day, I have no partner, my kids are asleep and I'm sitting alone at home with my vodka and my laptop, which is clearly meant for googling 'underweight celebrities' with! Wink

I was just asking. I feel sorry for her. I think she looks great and shouldn't be villified.

But okay, I am being unreasonable. thank you. Mre vodka needed clearly!

I just meant that the article op had linked was talking about the mark being a hair piece sticky thing because her hair is falling out

its all a load of crap and op you really should just get back into real life becasue media stuff about people we dont know is not real life and , I feel, can only be NOT GOOD for us

especially if you are admitting that you are obsessed with weight

In between your befuddled OP and the subsequent OP bashing/patronising it's hard to tell what the point of the thread is?

Is it a subjective 'do you think Kate Middleton is anorexic?' question then I guess I'd say, nah, I don't think so.

She just looks like a typical ectomorph/type A/horsey girl to me. Her arms look fairly healthy in that first picture to me.

She looks fine. It's a non-story and I think you really need to replace "underweight celebrities" with "find me a hobby".

In the 'fatter' picture of her in the blue skirt five years ago - that's how I looked at my thinnest and fittest. I have very narrow hips when they aren't covered in flab and have a tendency to get fat if I don't keep an eye on things.

Kate Middleton, I would say, has a much more slender and naturally slight frame than me and I think she carries her weight well.

That's not to say she isn't very slim/slender. She is, but I think it's part of her natural body type.

Has she specified that she wants to be known as "Kate middleton, Duchess of Cambridge", or has she actually chose to be "Duchess of Cambridge" and the press still insit on using Kate middleton as we are all plebs and don't realise that Kate middleton is now a Duchess?
