We live on the 2nd floor of a 5 storey building. A few months ago a new management team took over the building, they deal with cleaning, maintaining the building etc.
Not long after they took over they cancelled the contract with the company who run our intercom system, they did this without consulting any of the residents. We have a noticeboard downstairs and they put a handwritten note up saying that the contract had been cancelled so we had no intercom system but that it would be sorted ASAP.
That was 4 months ago. We have elderly people living here, as well as a lot of residents with small children for whom it is just not convenient to have to trapse up and down the stairs (no lift) all the time to answer the door. We have been leaving our phone numbers outside by the entrance so deliveries etc can be let into the building. This is annoying too and I've had more than one text from a drug dealer who I presume got my phone number from downstairs.
The management team have posted one more note explaining that they are doing "everything they can" to get a new intercom system in place but surely that should take a week or so, not months? They haven't specified a time for the new system to be installed nor have they apologised for any inconvenience.
So WIBU to leave a bit of a grumpy note on the noticeboard asking when this problem is going to be resolved and also to point out the inconvenience that has been caused. I have no other way of contacting them as they have never left a contact number/e-mail etc.
